Our teen parkour programs provide a crucial space for the rapid development of blossoming young adults. Through teamwork, creative movement, and problem-solving, teens learn the confidence and bravery to approach the entire range of challenges that life may present.
Portland Locations
Mt. Tabor Park is the OG Portland parkour spot offering the most versatile and nature-based parkour training experience in Portland. We also run programs at Irving Park, Westmoreland Park, Washington Park and Grant Park (in collaboration with Beverly Cleary School). We also offer our public facing school program at Astor School for any interested kids looking to train parkour in NE Portland.
Across the river, we continue to run classes in Vancouver, WA at Esther Short Park!
Class Descriptions
Our parkour classes guide teens as they learn to set goals, overcome fear, collaborate, and problem-solve. Every class includes a group warm-up, falling safety instruction, skill technique practice, movement games, and obstacle coursing.
-
This program develops confidence and parkour skills, covering jumping, vaulting, climbing, balance, and quadrupedal movement. Each class includes ukemi (falling safety) and skill applications like games and obstacle courses. Students of all levels will begin classes together and then branch off into distinct groups for skill practice based on their individual capabilities and experience. This allows students to bond with friends across their age group during games and group activities and still allows students to develop skills based on their personal capacity and physical competency.

Learn to navigate obstacles safely when adding speed. Students will practice parkour skills with an emphasis on speed, agility, and falling safety while minimizing impact on the body. Each session will include an obstacle course or speed game to test your skills. Suitable for both competitive and non-competitive students, this class can prepare students for speed competitions such as WCPKC.

Our Parkour Team offers a fantastic opportunity for self-motivated young athletes in a structured long-format class (90-120 minutes).
Established in 2019, the Parkour Visions Youth Team welcomes students 9–18 looking to challenge themselves in new ways. Youth Team meets weekly during the school year. It promotes a rigorous physical and mental routine focused on nurturing well-rounded athletes and community leaders, while still providing a fun, social training experience.
In this program, your teen will deepen their understanding of foundational skills and learn exciting new techniques like vaults, climb-ups, and cat backs. They’ll build strength and agility, allowing them to safely access faster and more powerful movements. As participants in the Youth Team, they’ll also gain valuable skills in creating their own lines, spotting challenges, and assessing risks safely.
It’s a wonderful way for them to unleash their potential while having fun!
Teen Leadership Program
Are you a teen who loves playing outdoors? Are you conscientious, thoughtful, and a good role model for kids? If so, you're invited to apply to our Teen Summer Leadership Program! Teen leaders learn the basics of parkour coaching and are eligible for a stipend or school volunteer hours for volunteering at classes or events.
Teen Development Programs
Beyond our regular classes, Parkour Visions coaches are there to support teens as they explore their independence and nurture their physical, mental, and emotional development. From Team Parkour, Teen Leadership Program (See Below), Coach Development and Leap-to-Lead (L2L) Parkour Visions can help develop young professionals. The real world skills developed in these programs can lead to some students getting their first job as a Parkour Coach.
